The exhibited through the Soho Virtual Art gallery are digitally manipulated photographs. Many of the original photographs are taken from reflected images. Earlier photos were taken with 35mm camera and the negatives scanned onto a Kodak CD-ROM , while later photos were shot on a Kodak DC-265 digital camera. The digital images were imported into PhotoShop and manipulated to achieve the characteristics inherent in the series.
"Reflection is an interesting phenomena for me. Visual perception is a personal thing, and we all seem to have an agreement about the things that we see. But like a child attaching visual descriptions to clouds in the sky, I use reflections because they yield enough of a view of an object so that it is recognizable, yet lucid, and becomes perceptually like other distinct objects."--Michael Coble
